Momenta to Supply ADAS for Peugeot, Jeep Models From 2027
Momenta will supply R7 world model-based ADAS for all-new DSAT-built Peugeot and Jeep NEVs from 2027, sold in China, Europe and other global markets, with Level 3 development also planned.
Scope of change
- Partnership signed in Shanghai on September 24; first models launch from 2027 with BEV and PHEV options
- Momenta's solutions reached 321,000 additional vehicles in H1, up 83.7% year-on-year; cumulative installs exceed 1 million across 105 models and 26 automakers
- Scope covers production ADAS based on the R7 world model plus Level 3 autonomous driving development; CEO Cao Xudong targets a global ADAS inflection point in 2028

Momenta will develop advanced driver assistance systems for new Peugeot and Jeep vehicles scheduled to reach the market from 2027, under a global strategic partnership with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co Ltd (DSAT), the Chinese supplier disclosed Monday.
The agreement, signed in Shanghai on September 24, covers several all-new DSAT new energy vehicle models featuring Momenta's R7 world model, with battery electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. Vehicles will be sold in China, Europe and other global markets, according to a statement from the automaker.
The deal marks a significant step in Momenta's expansion among international brands. Rather than entering overseas markets directly, the supplier gains distribution through automakers' global sales networks — an export channel it has already begun using. By the end of June, vehicles equipped with Momenta's solutions had reached 10 countries and regions, the company said in its interim report released August 31.
DSAT, jointly established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners, builds Peugeot and Jeep vehicles for the Chinese market and beyond. Under the agreement, Momenta will participate in product definition and joint development of the new models, tailoring driver assistance systems to each brand's character.
The companies will combine vehicle engineering and chassis tuning capabilities to refine steering, braking and powertrain response — adapting the systems to Jeep's off-road capability and Peugeot's handling characteristics.
Beyond production-vehicle ADAS, the partnership extends to development and deployment of autonomous driving technologies, including Level 3.
DSAT general manager Lv Haitao said the partnership would combine Peugeot's driving dynamics and Jeep's off-road capabilities with intelligent technology for deployment in China and overseas.
Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said the agreement expanded the company's partner network and reflected Chinese AI's growing role in the development of intelligent vehicles worldwide. He added that Momenta is preparing for an anticipated inflection point in the global advanced driver assistance market in 2028 and aims to position itself ahead of that shift.
The DSAT deal builds on rapid growth in Momenta's production vehicle business. The company installed its solutions in about 321,000 additional vehicles in the first half of this year, up 83.7% from a year earlier, according to its interim report.
Cumulative installations exceeded 1 million by the end of June, spanning 105 production models across 26 automakers. Momenta, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX: 6880), is also developing its world model as a shared technology foundation for its production vehicle, robovan and robotaxi businesses.
The partnership signals how Chinese driving-technology suppliers are moving up the value chain with Western OEMs — in this case through a joint venture whose Chinese and European parents both depend on its output for the world's largest NEV market.
What to watch next: the first DSAT model launches from 2027, which markets those vehicles actually reach in Europe, and whether Momenta's projected 2028 ADAS inflection point materializes in real order volumes.
