Momenta to Supply ADAS Software for Future Peugeot and Jeep Models
Momenta will build ADAS for future Peugeot and Jeep models under a 24 September 2026 deal with DSAT, starting in China before Europe and other markets.
Scope of change
- Momenta signed a global ADAS development deal with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology on 24 September 2026
- Systems based on Momenta's R7 World Model will launch in China first, then Europe and other markets
- No launch dates, model names or automation levels were disclosed

Chinese software firm Momenta has signed a global agreement to develop advanced driver assistance systems for upcoming Peugeot and Jeep production models, marking a reversal of the long-standing flow of automotive technology from Western suppliers into China.
Momenta signed the deal with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (DSAT) on 24 September 2026. Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners established the joint venture in Wuhan, and it will serve as the contracting vehicle for the program.
The systems will run on Momenta's R7 World Model. China gets the technology first, with Europe and other markets to follow. Neither side disclosed launch dates, named the models involved, or specified an automation level — a gap that leaves the program's production timing and regulatory scope unverified.
Engineers will tune steering, braking and powertrain response so each brand keeps its driving character. Jeep's off-road bias and Peugeot's road manners carry over, according to the announcement.
The agreement puts Chinese driver assistance software into the global line-ups of two Stellantis brands for the first time. That inverts the older pattern in which Western partners supplied such technology to Chinese joint ventures.
Cao Xudong, chief executive of Momenta, framed the deal as proof of Chinese AI's export readiness. "We are honored to establish this global strategic partnership with DSAT," he said in a statement. "The recognition of Momenta's technology by DSAT, Peugeot and Jeep gives us even greater confidence in the global potential of Physical AI developed in China. This partnership also expands Momenta's partner network, as Chinese AI takes on a growing role in the development of intelligent vehicles worldwide."
Verification gap
The announcement comes from the supplier side. As with any vendor deal, the claimed scope — a "global" program spanning two brands and multiple markets — needs checking against Stellantis production plans and homologation timelines. European deployment of Chinese ADAS software would face EU type-approval requirements and likely scrutiny under the bloc's data and cybersecurity rules for connected vehicles. Neither issue appears in the announcement.
No financial terms, development timeline, or vehicle volume estimates were disclosed.
What to watch next
The first confirmation point will be a model announcement from Peugeot or Jeep naming the systems in a China-market launch. European fitment would represent the harder milestone, given regulatory review and Stellantis' regional software strategy. Watch also for whether Stellantis confirms the deal in its own communications and whether DSAT extends the partnership beyond the two brands.
