Momenta to supply ADAS to Peugeot and Jeep via DSAT partnership
DSAT and Momenta will jointly develop ADAS based on the R7 World Model for new Peugeot and Jeep models, starting in China and rolling out to Europe and other global markets.
Scope of change
- DSAT and Momenta announced a global strategic ADAS partnership covering Peugeot and Jeep models.
- The systems will be based on Momenta's R7 World Model for new production vehicles.
- Rollout covers China first, then Europe and other global markets.
- DSAT was jointly established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners.
- No launch dates, model names or volume figures were disclosed in the announcement.
Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. (DSAT) and Momenta have signed a global strategic partnership to jointly develop advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for new Peugeot and Jeep production models, with rollouts planned in China, Europe and other global markets.
The deal pushes a Chinese intelligent-driving supplier directly into the vehicle programmes of two established Stellantis brands on three continents. It is an announced intention at this stage: no launch dates, named models or volume figures accompanied the announcement, so the agreement should be tracked against confirmed production timing.
What will the partners actually build?
The two companies will base the systems on Momenta's R7 World Model. Peugeot and Jeep will work with Momenta on product definition and joint development, aiming at intelligent driving experiences tuned to each brand.
The engineering plan is specific to brand character:
- Steering, braking and powertrain response will be fine-tuned to preserve Jeep's off-road capability.
- Peugeot models will keep the brand's established driving dynamics as the ADAS stack is integrated.
- The tuning work builds on DSAT's vehicle engineering and chassis capabilities.
DSAT is a joint venture established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners, so the agreement channels Momenta technology into Stellantis-brand products through the Chinese JV structure rather than through a direct European procurement route.
How will the rollout work geographically?
China comes first. New Peugeot and Jeep models sold there will receive Momenta's intelligent driving technology. Europe and other global markets follow, and Momenta framed the transfer as seamless for buyers: "Customers will be able to experience the same technology in brands they already know and trust, without losing the driving character that defines Peugeot and Jeep," the company said.
Momenta described the partnership as an important step in its global expansion, bringing its technology to production vehicles from established automotive brands both in China and overseas. It also said the deal reflects a shared commitment by Dongfeng Motor and Stellantis to bring what both companies call Physical AI to more vehicles and markets worldwide.
What did the executives say?
Cao Xudong, CEO of Momenta, said: "We are honoured to establish this global strategic partnership with DSAT. The recognition of Momenta's technology by DSAT, Peugeot and Jeep gives us even greater confidence in the global potential of Physical AI developed in China. This partnership also expands Momenta's partner network, as Chinese AI takes on a growing role in the development of intelligent vehicles worldwide."
Lv Haitao, General Manager of DSAT, said: "DSAT has entered into a global strategic cooperation with Momenta, integrating Peugeot's driving performance and Jeep's off-road capabilities with cutting-edge intelligent technology, to be deployed in China and rolled out overseas."
What to watch next
The announcement names no launch window, no first model and no plant or volume commitments. The milestones that will verify this partnership are concrete: the first production Peugeot or Jeep model in China carrying Momenta's R7 World Model-based ADAS, and the first confirmation that the same stack has entered a European-market programme. Watch also for whether Stellantis extends the technology beyond DSAT-built vehicles into its wider global platform plans.
