PVA Launches DeltaFlex Large-Format Dispensing Platform
PVA's DeltaFlex platform offers 800- and 1,200-mm workspaces for oversized dispensing in aerospace, defense and EV battery plants. Public debut: Oct. 13-15 in Detroit.
Scope of change
- PVA's DeltaFlex offers standard 800-mm and 1,200-mm workspaces with custom oversized configurations
- Platform debuts at The Battery Show North America, Oct. 13-15 in Detroit
- Second showing at The ASSEMBLY Show, Oct. 27-29 in Rosemont, Ill.
- Targets aerospace, defense, EV battery, telecom and industrial electronics applications
- Features dual-driven Y-axis, linear encoder positioning and ruggedized gantry

PVA's new large-format dispensing platform, the DeltaFlex, comes with standard 800-mm and 1,200-mm workspaces and will debut at The Battery Show North America in Detroit on Oct. 13-15.
The Halfmoon, N.Y.-based supplier of dispensing and coating equipment built the platform for oversized assemblies and heavier process equipment while maintaining positioning accuracy. Target sectors include aerospace, defense, EV battery manufacturing, telecommunications, industrial electronics and electronics manufacturing services.
What does the hardware change?
The DeltaFlex platform features:
- A ruggedized gantry designed for larger parts and heavier tooling
- A dual-driven Y-axis
- Linear encoder positioning
- High-speed motion capability
- Increased Z-axis travel
- Custom oversized configurations beyond the standard work envelopes
The combination of a dual-driven Y-axis and linear encoders addresses a specific trade-off in large-format dispensing: as work envelopes grow, maintaining positional accuracy over long travels becomes harder. PVA says the platform holds accuracy while adding speed.
Who is it for?
The application set spans two broad categories. First, structural and thermal applications in aerospace, defense and EV battery production, where part dimensions increasingly exceed the envelopes of conventional benchtop and mid-size dispensing systems. Second, coating and encapsulation work in telecommunications, industrial electronics and EMS operations, where substrate sizes and throughput demands continue to climb.
"As assemblies continue to grow in size and complexity, manufacturers need automation that can keep pace," said Rod Kasperson, vice president of sales and marketing at PVA. "The DeltaFlex combines the flexibility our customers have always valued from PVA with a new level of performance, scalability, and precision to help them meet the next generation of manufacturing challenges."
Where can buyers see it?
The platform's public debut is set for The Battery Show North America, Oct. 13-15 at Detroit's Huntington Place exhibition complex. PVA will also display the DeltaFlex at The ASSEMBLY Show, Oct. 27-29 in Rosemont, Ill.
The choice of launch venue signals where PVA expects demand: EV battery manufacturing is a first-listed application, and battery pack assemblies rank among the largest coated and dispensed-on components now entering volume production.
The announcement is a product launch claim from the supplier, not verified production data; PVA has not disclosed pricing, cycle-time figures or accuracy tolerances. Buyers will be able to assess the machine in person at both October shows.
What to watch next
Watch for the Detroit debut on Oct. 13-15, where PVA is likely to release detailed specifications — axis speeds, repeatability and payload ratings — that will determine whether the DeltaFlex competes at the top of the large-format dispensing segment. The follow-on appearance at The ASSEMBLY Show on Oct. 27-29 will indicate whether the platform draws traction beyond battery applications into aerospace and defense programs.
