Leapmotor B10 series production starts at Stellantis' Zaragoza plant

Stellantis and Leapmotor have begun series production of the B10 in Zaragoza, the Chinese brand's second attempt at European output, with three more models due in 2026.

Scope of change

  1. Series production of the Leapmotor B10 has begun at the Figueruelas plant in Zaragoza, Spain.
  2. The launch marks Leapmotor's second attempt to produce vehicles in Europe.
  3. The B05, B03X, and B03 models are set to follow next year (2026).
  4. Production takes place inside an established Stellantis plant rather than a new site.

Stellantis and Leapmotor have started series production of the Leapmotor B10 at the Figueruelas plant in Zaragoza, Spain, marking the Chinese brand's second attempt to build vehicles in Europe.

The B10 is now rolling off the line at a site Stellantis has operated for decades in Aragon. For Leapmotor, a Chinese electric-vehicle manufacturer in which Stellantis holds a significant stake, the launch represents a reset after an earlier effort to produce vehicles in Europe. The joint announcement confirms the start of volume output rather than pilot assembly.

What follows the B10 at Figueruelas?

The product plan does not stop at one model. The brand's B05, B03X, and B03 models are set to follow next year, according to the announcement. That sequencing points to a phased ramp: one model in production now, three more scheduled for 2026.

A four-model slate implies either shared line time with existing Stellantis output at Zaragoza or dedicated capacity added within the plant. The announcement did not specify volumes, headcount changes, or which models will share which lines — the details that would confirm the scale of the commitment.

For context, the B10 is a compact battery-electric SUV, the segment where Chinese entrants have pressed European incumbents hardest on price.

Confirmed versus announced

Two categories sit inside this story. Confirmed: series production of the B10 at Figueruelas has begun. Announced intention: the B05, B03X, and B03 follow "next year." As with any supplier- or OEM-side statement of future output, the 2026 model launches are claims that production data will verify once the vehicles appear on the line.

The phrase "second attempt" also carries weight. A first European production effort that did not hold has been replaced by this launch inside an established Stellantis plant — a lower-risk route that uses existing tooling, workforce, and logistics rather than a greenfield site.

What to watch next

The milestones that will define this program are concrete: the first B10 deliveries to European customers, the timing of the B05 and B03X launches at Zaragoza in 2026, and any capacity figures Stellantis discloses for Leapmotor output at the site. Watch too for whether Figueruelas adds shifts or headcount as the model count grows from one to four.
