BYD launches Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 in Uzbekistan as Ti 7 at $43,340
BYD prices the Ti 7 at about $43,340 in Uzbekistan, bringing the Tai 7 — 279,182 units sold since September 2025 — to one of its few markets with local production.
Scope of change
- BYD Ti 7 launched in Uzbekistan at 513,500,000 Uzbek som, about $43,340, versus a 225,800 yuan ($33,520) starting price in China
- Tai 7 cumulative sales reached 279,182 units from September 2025 launch through September this year
- BYD's Jizzakh plant with UzAuto began production in January 2024; announced first-phase capacity is 50,000 vehicles per year
- September Tai 7 sales were 32,144 units, up 5.14% month-on-month, the seventh straight monthly increase
- Ti 7 went on sale at the Tashkent electric mobility carnival held October 1–4
BYD has launched the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 in Uzbekistan under the name BYD Ti 7, pricing the flagship 5-seat, all-wheel-drive hybrid at 513,500,000 Uzbek som — about 292,000 yuan, or $43,340 at BYD's own conversion. That is roughly $9,800 above the sole AWD hybrid variant's starting price in China, which is 225,800 yuan ($33,520).
The Ti 7 went on sale on the opening night of the third electric mobility carnival in Tashkent, which ran October 1–4. The SUV runs BYD's DM-p hybrid technology and is positioned as an urban vehicle for commuting, family travel and outdoor use, with the emphasis on space, all-wheel-drive grip and comfort.
Why the Uzbek launch matters
Uzbekistan is one of the few overseas markets where BYD has established local production. The company made its brand debut there in March 2023 with the Han EV, Song Plus DM-i and Chazor DM-i. Its joint plant with Uzavtosanoat JSC (UzAuto) in Jizzakh began production in January 2024, with the first mass-produced vehicles rolling off the line in June that year.
Under plans announced at launch, the Jizzakh plant was designed for an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles in its first phase, building the Song Plus DM-i and Chazor DM-i plug-in hybrids. Whether that 50,000-unit figure has been reached is not confirmed in the announcement; it remains an announced target rather than a verified production milestone.
How the Tai 7 is performing in China
The Tai 7 first launched in China in September 2025, initially as a plug-in hybrid only, and quickly became Fang Cheng Bao's best-selling model. Fang Cheng Bao added an all-electric Flash Charging Edition in April this year and a DM long-range version in August.
September sales totaled 32,144 units, up 5.14% from August — the seventh consecutive month of sequential growth, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. The lineup sold 192,923 units in the first nine months of this year, and cumulative sales reached 279,182 units from the September 2025 launch through the end of September.
What else BYD showed in Tashkent
BYD used the carnival to showcase other sub-brands in the market:
- Denza displayed the B5 and B8, offering a 43-degree ramp-climbing experience. The B5 is the overseas counterpart of the Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5 sold in China; the B8 corresponds to the Bao 8.
- The Yangwang U9 made its first in-person appearance in Uzbekistan.
- Denza officially entered Uzbekistan in June this year, and the event gave the brand another showcase for local consumers.
What comes next
Cao Shuang, BYD's general manager for Central Asia and the Caucasus, said at the event that the company would continue to deepen its localization strategy in Uzbekistan, working with local partners to strengthen its industrial operations and service network.
Watch for three things: whether the Ti 7's $43,340 pricing holds against parallel imports, whether Jizzakh's first-phase capacity of 50,000 units per year gets confirmed against actual output, and whether the Tai 7's other powertrain variants — the Flash Charging Edition and DM long-range — follow to Uzbekistan.
