Coforge has expanded its AI-based vehicle inspection platform, extending automated damage assessment from exterior panels to glass, underbody and interior components.

The IT services company positions the tool as a way for insurers, fleet operators and rental companies to cut assessment times and standardize claims decisions. Its computer-vision models analyze photos or video of a vehicle, flag damage and estimate repair scope without a human appraiser visiting the car.

The expansion adds three inspection modules. A glass module detects windscreen chips, cracks and window damage. An underbody module scans for corrosion, structural deformation and suspension damage from images captured on a lift or via ground-level cameras. An interior module identifies tears, burns, stains and missing equipment in cabin photos.

Coforge says the platform now covers the full vehicle surface, allowing a complete condition report from a single walk-around capture. The company reports processing accuracy above 90 percent on standard damage categories and claims the system reduces inspection time from hours to minutes.

The platform targets high-volume claims environments. Insurance assessors can triage total-loss cases faster, and fleet operators can document vehicle condition at handover and return without manual checks.

Coforge has not disclosed client names, deployment counts or pricing. The company competes with established claims-automation vendors including Tractable, Solera and CCC Intelligent Solutions, which already process millions of claims annually with AI damage assessment.

The expansion signals continued investment in automotive AI at Coforge, which lists vehicle inspection among its key insurance-sector offerings alongside claims automation and fraud detection.
